DIY Wedding at Home in the Garden
“May the Forth be with You” Tom and Steph had their DIY wedding day on Star Wars day, May, 4th. They gave a little nod with there fantastic wedding cake, that had a hidden side. They decided to have their wedding reception in a Marquee in Tom’s parents garden, where he grew up in Tarleton Preston. His parents garden was beautiful the flower beds were full of flowers in bloom. They had built a gin bar and used all of the garden to create a a truly beautiful place to have a wedding. An open sided marquee erected in the back garden, so all the flower beds could be seen around the edge and it felt really open and relaxed. Candles hung from trees and fairy lights in the hedges.
After stopping at Toms parents I went to see the girls getting ready down the road. There was plenty to photograph, their little girl was really looking forward to getting in her dress. I find if I meet any kids in the morning while I’m doing the documentary wedding photography and not setting anything up, it gets them use to the camera. So later on for any group shots they are use to the camera.
Steph and Tom just wanted to feel at home and have a really relaxing wedding which they did. Here are my favourites from the day.
