Preston Wedding Photographer
Emma and Phil’s wedding at Mytton Fold Hotel in Whalley. It was a wet and rainy day in the Ribble Valley, but that didn’t spoil the wedding day or the photographs. When it rains there are always options for the wedding photography. I have photographed weddings for a couple of Emma and Phil’s friends, so it was lovely to see some familiar faces and one very new face.
I started as I normally do photographing the bridal prep and make up ( by Zoe McCaffrey), along with capturing some natural, unposed, unstaged photographs of the bride and her bridesmaids. The groom was also getting ready at the hotel, so I was able to spend some time with him and his groomsmen. The Groom had made unique cufflinks of the Groomsman in their football team’s strips.
The wedding was a lovely ceremony with a few tears. We were lucky that there was a break in the rain, that gave us time to take photographs of the couple outside before it started again. My aim on a wedding day is to do as much documentary wedding photography as possible, capturing those special moments during the day, that tell the story of the day.
The reception room at Mytton Fold is perfect for a big party and The Boutiques were providing the music. Before the first dance we ventured out again to do some night wedding photography and get some really relaxed creative wedding photographs.
