Fulwood Free Methodist Wedding Photographer

Abi and Dave’s wedding was at Fulwood Free Methodist church, and the reception was at Westleigh conference centre, just outside Preston.

I arrived to start photographing the bride and bridesmaids in Fulwood, Preston. They were getting their hair and make up done. The morning of the wedding is always exciting, with every one getting ready and looking forward to the special day. It is always a good time to photograph all the little details, such as the wedding dress and wedding flowers. Using a reportage style of photography, I shot some lovely photos of the bridesmaid receiving a little gift from the bride. The bride then went upstairs to get into her wedding dress. I waited to photograph what has become a big part of my wedding photography, the photograph of the mother of the bride or a bridesmaid fastening the wedding dress. The bride’s father was waiting downstairs to see the wedding dress.

The wedding ceremony was at the Fulwood Free Methodist church in Preston. The groom was greeting all the guests at the door. He got the signal that the bride was arriving and went to the front of the church to stand with his best man and ushers. The wedding ceremony started with the flower girls walking down the aisle dropping petals,  followed by the bridesmaids and then the bride. The ceremony was full of hymns and personal touches. As a wedding photographer, it is important to know the little details of the day, so if there are any special details, you know to capture them.

The wedding reception was at Westleigh conference centre,  owned by the University of Central Lancashire. It is a lovely wedding venue, with an old main building and a modern extension. The grounds and gardens were a perfect back drop for lovely wedding photography. First,  I had some time with the newlyweds getting some lovely photographs of the happy couple. We then did the traditional family photographs and then some more modern relaxed photos of the bridal party.  During the wedding breakfast and speeches, I photographed all the guests enjoying themselves and their reactions to the speeches, getting some informal and reportage photos. The first dance was sung by one of the groom’s friends. I photographed every one having a good dance to the wedding band.
